Luxury Villa with Pool in Skiathos

This luxurious villa is located in an area called Koukounaries, famous for its white sandy beaches and its fragrant pine trees forest from which the region took its name. It is considered one of the most unspoiled natural beaches of the Mediterranean and is a protected environment. The beach is well-organized and offers many water sports, chairs, umbrellas and beach bars. The region around the beach is full of restaurants, taverns and hotels.
The villa is surrounded by dense pine forest just 400 meters away from the beach and the village of Koukounaries. The property is very well looked after with a fully paved driveway and electronically controlled gates. A wide range of mediterranean flowers and trees spread a wonderful scent, underlined by the hypnotizing scent of the pine trees surrounding the area. A vegetable garden provides fresh ingredients throughout summer. A helipad on the property allows us to avoid the rather time consuming approach from Athens to Agios Konstantinos and then the ferry.
On entering the villa, we find the kitchen area and a guest bathroom to our right. To the left hand, is a bedroom with double bed and a staircase leads down to the ground floor, which accommodates a bedroom with a single bed and next to it is the garage. Back up the stairs, past the kitchen we enter the living room with the high ceiling that keeps the air cool and allows a pleasant air flow. To the other end of the living room, a stairway leads towards the Master bedroom on the upper floor and the corridor leading to the other 2 bedrooms. All bedrooms have their own bathroom en-suite and the entire villa is air conditioned. The master-bedroom has a Jacuzzi, another bathroom has a bathtub, the other bathrooms have showers. A sofa-bed sleeping additional 2 guests is located on a mid-floor from the living-room to the 1st floor.

Getting to Skiathos
Since this villa has a helipad, obviously the easiest and fasted way is to charter a helicopter from Athens. To give you a rough outline of the cost, 3 pax with light luggage would cost approximately 1000 Euro (one way including pilot), 4 pax including baggage would cost approximately 2000 Euro (one way including pilot).
But Skiathos also has an international airport which is frequently used by charters from most of Europe. Additionally, you can fly to Volos (mainland) and get a ferry to Skiathos. You can also fly to Athens and take a bus to Agios Konstantinos (2,5 hours). During summer, there are 5-6 ferries per day from Agios Konstantinos to Skiathos and the crossing takes 2-3 hours depending on the type of vessel. There are also a few ferries from Thessaloniki to Skiathos. If you are coming via Athens, there is a travel agency (www.alkyontravel.gr) that has specialized in transfers to the Sporades Islands. Their buses leave according to the itinerary of the ferries and you can book the entire transfer through them. They also have an office in Agios Konstantinos in case you wish to organize your return trip later on. Please note, that the ferry which takes cars is only operating daily in high season. Moving around on Skiathos
There are plenty of car/bike rentals on Skiathos and they offer a wide range of transport for every budget. ATVs and beach-buggies for those who seek more fun on the sandy roads, little Suzuki Jeeps (open) as well as the usual cars are available in most places. Busses drive along the main coastal road in regular intervals and taxis are always on stand-by.
