2 Modern Villas with mesmerizing sea view near Porto Heli, Greece

Personal Review (visited 2010)

Vicky's two independent villas were recommended to me by a friend who lives in the area. I was skeptical about the fact that they are so close to each other and the shared pool, but every villa is worth a visit and I have to admit that I needd to revise my opinion. On arrival, I realized that they are in fact 3 villas with the third one (in the middle) being the one Vicky lives in. On the one hand, it left a bitter taste in my strong wish of privacy, but on the other hand I quickly realized that my feeling was totally unjustified. First of all Vicky is a wonderful lady that radiates a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere and she underlined it by delivering a freshly baked cake for our arrival. After a quick tour through the villa, we looked at the facilities and fridge to see if there were any needs that she hadn't thought of. Whatever one could expect from a villa was available in abundance but Vicky also took over what we considered our personal shopping. Off she rushed and returned a few seconds later with fresh milk for our baby, a few beers for the driver and a few snacks to complete the anyhow overfilled welcome hamper. After that, Vicky vanished and we only saw her when seeking her contact.

It wasn't until the next day that we realized that the other villa was also occupied and we were wondering if the guests had been whispering all night to hide their presence.

The villas are more or less identical. One enters the villa into the middle floor (ground floor to the entrance, 1st floor to the pool side). Nearly the entire floor is one open room comprising of lounge, dining area and kitchen. A large balcony invites to enjoy the view over the pool, the Aegean Sea and Spetses Island in the distance.

The interior design is modern, straight forward and neutral. Select pieces of art are well placed to create a comfortable ambience.

The upper floor consists of 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and wonderful views to all sides.

As one descends the stairs from the living area to the lower floor, one enters a large open space with a small kitchen. Perfect for preparing a snack or drink to enjoy by the pool without having to worry about having to walk through the entire house when wet from the recent dip in the pool.

2 bedrooms are also on the lower floor, again each with en suite bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a wonderful view through the large french doors onto the infinity pool and the sea beyond. It is worth mentioning that this bedroom is the only room where one should close the curtains before going to sleep, else one may be negatively surprised by the guests of the other villa having an early morning swim in the pool whilst you are still hiding in the comfortable sheets. The other villa has the pool to its side and therefore doesn't have this issue. There, the ground floor only has one bedroom and the kitchen extends to a large open space that can be used as a playroom. It can also be turned into an additional bedroom by setting up a 5th bed and can be separated by a room divider.
