Traditional country cottage in the picturesque mountain village Anatoli near Ierapetra, Crete
This romantic holiday cottage (56 m2) was built in the early twenties and can accommodate up to 4 persons.
It is laid out in one level, with its back (the main entrance) towards the old market street. The other two sides face towards the East and the sea. Its main façade opens to a side courtyard of 17m2, that has a second gate to a narrow walkway. An exterior stair leads to a 45m2 rooftop terrace with splendid views of the Mediterranian Sea. In front of the house extends another village house in ruins (in a lower level), mixing up antiquity with today’ s life.
The holiday cottage comprises of two main rooms, separate kitchen and a bathroom (with shower). There is one double bedroom and one large, oblong sitting room with an open fireplace and an dining corner, furnished with a stylish couch that easily converts into a double bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four ring electric plate and an oven, a refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle etc.
Wireless Internet is available to the guests of the villa and from 2010 onwards, a laptop will be provided as well.
The Village
The village, a very old settlement from Venetian times, has kept its historic character until today. With 600m altitude, surrounded by wild countryside, gigantic rock formations and natural springs, the village is famous for its healthy, dry climate.
The location is ideal for its peaceful environment with cool microclimate in the summer, the splendid views to the Libyan Sea and the proximity to beautiful sandy beaches of eastern Crete.

There are various tavernas and a coffee house in the village of Anatoli and in the neighboring village (5 km away).
