Spacious 7-bedroom Luxury Villa with Sea-Water Pool in Antiparos, Greece
Our Personal Review (visited August 2011)
A simple but stylish and very spacious beachfront villa in walking distance to the picturesque port of Antiparos, ideal for those who wish to experience this cosmopolitan island with its plethora of things to do and enjoy. The luxury villa has direct sea access through the large gates in the garden, a sea water swimming pool with ample sunbathing deck and lawn for kids to play, a garden bar fully equipped with everything you need for a party, a separate BBQ area (again fully equipped), spacious outdoor dining and lounge area and of course, the accordingly spacious villa to accommodate 14-16 guests in 6-7 bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms.
The property consists of 2 independent wings, a smaller 2 bedroom wing and a larger wing with 5 bedrooms of which one accommodates the in-house maid unless you prefer to sacrifice the service for total privacy. The maid prepares breakfast in the morning and the rest of the day she makes sure everything is spotlessly clean and tidy.
The main house consists of a spacious living-room with a huge open plan kitchen and one bathroom with en-suite bathroom. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with access to a veranda with sea view and the master bedroom also has access to a small veranda that connects with one of the bedrooms of the smaller house.
Downstairs (semi-underground with windows), are 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. One of them is usually used by the maid. It is nearly of the same standard as the rest of the villa. An emergency door grants access to the garden. Laundry- and storage rooms complete this floor.
The other wing consists of a living-room with dining area and a small but fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms of which the master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and veranda with sea view, the other has its private bathroom next to it and a door in the bedroom connects via the terrace with the master bedroom of the main building.
On our arrival, we found the interior design a little bare, but after settling in and taking note of the very well selected artifacts, it subconsciously turns into a cosy and convenient accommodation that doesn't lack anything. Many amenities are smartly hidden to keep the focus on the essentials and after all, comply with the traditional style that the Cycladic Islands are famous for. All bedrooms are air-conditioned, have remote controlled ceiling fans and TV + music systems. Each bathroom is different and impresses with perfect design and choice of colours.
The kitchen is very impressive and equipped with everything you could possibly want. Wine fridge, 2 fridges, 2 deep freeze, 5 ring gas stove including a long stove for preparing fish and all the devices required to prepare all kinds of coffee or drinks. However, we never had the pleasure to make use of this wonderful kitchen as there are so many beautiful restaurants that offer some of the most incredible food - all in walking distance. The short stroll to town is along the sea shore with hardly any cars passing at all. Besides fantastic food and deserts, the town boasts lots of little shops and boutiques to browse through, cosy little cafés and bars welcome you and if you wish to enjoy the night life in Antiparos, there are a hand full of exclusive clubs and bars that invite you to party till dawn.
