Stunning Panoramic Sea View over the Ionian Sea

This 210 m² villa is built on two levels and has a ground floor and a first floor. Internally they are connected by a wooden staircase but they can also function independently via the exterior entries on each level. All the rooms have large wooden French windows, as well as windows with double panes and screens.

The first level floor is made of wood, in the traditional manner, and the ceilings are supported by trunks of pine and cypress. On the ground level the floor is set with marble and the ceilings are of traditional Lefkas island white wood. The paint and plastering of the walls and ceilings are based on natural materials that allow the underlying elements to breathe. Their soothing colors add to the serene atmosphere.

On the first level there is a living room, a kitchen and a bedroom with a bathroom. The living room is spacious with an exceptional view and has a large couch (seats 5) manufactured with ecological materials that can be changed into a comfortable bed (90 x 240 m). The room also has an armchair which can be changed into a bed (0.90 x 2.00 m), a traditional black iron wood stove, TV, DVD and CD players. The kitchen, at one end of the living room, has a large dining table and chairs and is completely equipped with a big refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and coffee machine.

The bedroom is fully equipped with a double wooden bed (1.70 x 2.10 m), headrest, mattress and support chosen for their ecological materials. It also has bedside tables, dressing room, wardrobe, armchair, iron and ironing board, TV, DVD and CD players. The bed faces the 2 m wide French window with a view to the sea and the islands Ithaca, Cephalonia and several smaller ones. The adjoining bathroom has a Jacuzzi and a hair dryer. The bathroom floor is marble and the wall tiles are handmade.

Descending the internal wooden staircase from the first floor to the ground floor, we find a central room which has a small range, dishwasher, a small walled refrigerator and a coffee machine. In this space there is also a separate WC and a small storage closet. On either side of this room there is a bedroom with its adjoining bathroom. Each bedroom has two large separate beds (1.00 X 2.10 m) which can be joined into a double bed (2.00 x 2.10 m) without a gap in between. The rest of the bedroom equipment is the same as in the bedroom of the top floor. The adjoining bathrooms are the same as the top floor bathroom but one has a tub with a Jacuzzi while the other has a shower.
The bedrooms have big French windows which open onto a roofed stone veranda that leads to the courtyard and swimming pool area.

The villa has its own rectangular 4 x 10 m swimming pool, 0.80 to 1.6 m deep with steps. Around the pool is a 100 m² lounge area with deck chairs and umbrellas. There are more outdoor lounges, BBQ and a parking space in front.
There is air conditioning in every room. However, the excellent microclimatic conditions of the region, the summer breeze and the local winds, in combination with the orientation of the house and the arrangement of the exterior openings ensure natural cooling even during hot summer days and render air conditioning unnecessary.

Prices and Service

The rates stated above, are quoted in Euro, per villa per week and refer to 6 pax. For additional guests, the following charge applies per day: Winter: 20 €, Low: 25 €, Middle: 30 €, High: 35 €, Peak: 40 €. Children up to 3 years old are free of charge, a baby cot is provided on request (free of charge).

Included Service: Welcome hamper (a bottle of local wine, coffee, tea, sugar, milk for coffee, toast, local honey, local traditional olive biscuits, chocolate cookies, 6 bottles of still drinking water, taxes, one hour daily cleaning of the villa. Specifically, cleaning of the pool, outdoor cleaning, verandas etc. in house cleaning, change of linen and towels ever 3 days, towels for the pool are provided, every day garbage disposal, electricity, water final cleaning.

Additional change of sheets & towels per villa: 50 €

On request (at least 2 weeks notice), the following service is available: Breakfast, delivery from the bakery, fresh bread, milk, cheese pies or other local pies and croissants, super market shopping and delivery, private chef, house keeping, laundry, baby sitter, massage, spa- / aroma-therapy, massage-hot stones, manicure, pedicure, car rental, boat rental, organized daily cruises to the nearest islands, taxi, personal car or boat driver, cooking lessons based on Mediterranean diet.

Location

The 5 villas (Villa Sun, Villa Dawn, Villa Rainbow, Villa Light and Villa Moon) were built in 2007 and are located in one of the most beautiful areas of southern Lefkas. They stand on a low hill with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea near the famous Greek beaches of Egkremnoi and Porto Katsiki. Four villas, Villa Light, Villa Sun, Villa Dawn and Villa Rainbow, are nestled among oak and olive trees, spaced far enough apart to ensure privacy. The 5th Villa, Villa Moon, is situated one km away from these, alone on a hill with fantastic views to the South and West. The villas are located in the southern part of the island, 40 km from the city of Lefkada. The distance from Vassiliki, the seat of the municipality, is 6 km of which 4 km are unpaved. The distance from Athani is 8 km, while the international airport of Aktio is 55 km away.

Beaches

Just below the villa, (200 meters altitude difference) 700 meters via a path, is a beautiful private beach, which is a protected area (NATURA) as there are dolphins and monk seals. Good physical condition is required, approximately 40 minutes to go down and 40 – 60 minutes to climb up, depending on the person’s physical condition.

The distance to Porto Katsiki Beach is 8 km, 12 km to Egkremnou Beach and 12 km to the Beach of Yalos. Vasiliki Beach is 5 km far from the villas, Amouso 12 km, Syvota 15 km, Mikros Gialos 17 km, Kathisma 18 km and Ag.Nikitas 25 km.

Nearest Sites of Interest

8 km away from the Villas is the Doukato promontory, where there are ruins of the temple of Apollo and a lighthouse. It is said that the ancient lyric poetess Sappho fell to her death from the 100 m high vertical white rocks. The monastery of Agios Nikolaos of Niras, founded in the 17th century, is 4 km from the Villas.

The nearest restaurant is 2 km from the villas and has a unique view of the beach of Egkremnoi and the Ionian Sea. There are another 3 restaurants within less than 6 km in the direction of Athani and many more in Vassiliki.
