Wir fahren nun seit 30 Jahren nach Griechenland, fuer uns ist es wie ein nach Hause kommen, obwohl es jedes Jahr ein anderes Stueckchen von Griechenland ist.

Auf Grund ihrer guten Beschreibung haben wir rasch die Anlage gefunden. Der Weg zum Haus war schon sehr ansprechend. Durch die Bilder aus dem Internet waren wir ueber das Haus schon gut informiert. Aber dasz was uns nun erwartete, war noch erfreulicher. Die Einrichtung der Schlafzimmer, der Baeder und des Wohnzimmers einschlieszlich der Kueche ist sehr geschmackvoll und liebevoll gestaltet. Die Kueche ist bestens bestueckt und alles blitzt vor Sauberkeit.

Ein sauberer Kuehlschrank, ein neues Schneidbrett, und neue Abwaschtuecher machen den Luxus erst perfekt. Das einzige was uns fehlte war eine Filterkaffeemaschine. (Anmerkung des Besitzers: Schade, dass dies nicht vor Ort mitgeteilt wurde um gleich Abhilfe zu schaffen. Mittlerweile gibt es eine Kaffeemaschine!)

Auf allen Fenstern und Tueren befinden sich Fliegengitter.

Der Willkommenskuchen, das Obst, das frische Brot und der lokale Wein, lies uns wie zuhause fuehlen.

Der romantische Terrassenplatz mit dem Griller mit vorhandener Grillkohle, veranlaszte uns Doraden, Garnelen und Schwertfischsteak zu Grillen . Der schoene saubere Pool der regelmaeszig gereinigt wurde trug von Tag zu Tag mehr zur Erholung bei.

Das Wetter war uns Anfang Juni leider nicht gewogen, aber der Luxus der Villa hat uns dafuer entschaedigt. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse aufs Meer und den Sonnenuntergang war fantastisch.

Der Wifi Empfang war im Gebaeude und der Terrasse nicht moeglich, manchmal war am Ende der Terrasse ein schwacher Empfang, sodasz wir doch unsere Emails empfangen konnten. Die Umts (3G) Datenverbindung war hier oben auch zu schwach, sodass das Arbeiten auf dem Laptop nicht moeglich war, was auch fuer die Erholung vom Vorteil ist.

Die Stadt Lefkada ist ca. 7 Km entfernt, wo wir regelmaessig unsere Einkaeufe taetigten. Gute Tavernen gibt es in der naeheren Umgebung, sowie in der Stadt.

Ein spontaner Besuch eines Ehepaares aus Vorarlberg die sich die Gegend anschauten, waren von unserem geschmackvollem Domizil begeistert und lieszen sich von uns, fuer ihren naechsten Urlaub die Kontaktadresse geben.

Auf der Suche nach einem besonderen Urlaubsdomiziel in Griechenland ist mir Greek Luxury Villas aufgefallen. Nach anfänglichen (unbeabsichtigten) Schwierigkeiten bezüglich Vakanz und Preisinformationsangaben, haben wir dann dennoch bei Herrn Schmidt gebucht, der seinen gemachten Fehler z.B durch ein "Upgrade" für 2 Nächte in eine grössere Villa mehr als gut machte...! Beide Villen (Pomegranade und Apple auf Lefkas) waren Top !
Fantastischer Blick auf's Meer, gut eingerichtet und sauber sowieso. Der Preis war für die Vorsaison ok. Das Personal vor Ort zeigte sich unauffällig, sehr hilfsbereit und höflich.

Wir empfehlen Greek Luxury Villas und die Insel Lefkas allen, die etwas besonderes suchen, unbedingt weiter!! Danke nochmals!!

Our group of three families (six adults and 4 children, ages 15 to 23) rented the Villa for a week, arriving in June of 2011. Everything about it exceeded our expectations.

The owner was as charming as could be. He met us the first day on the highway and led us to the village, then gave us a tour of the Villa. He was in every way polite, helpful, and desirous of our having the most enjoyable time in Crete. He gave us a driving tour of the surrounding area, pointing out restaurants, clubs, stores and ATMs, both those to use and those to avoid. He introduced us to local restaurant owners who then welcomed us back later in the week. He returned the next day and recommended excursions in the neighborhood, complete with driving directions and recommendations for taverna lunches. He made us a delicious lamb dinner later in the week. He could not have been a better host, and we loved him. We still talk about him.

The Villa itself is exquisite. Grand, luxurious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. No complaints or problems there. And we loved the village of Maroulas. As beautiful as Santorini is, for example, it is still as authentic as a gift shop. The village of Maroulas, on the other hand, is wonderfully ancient and authentic, with winding streets, nice and friendly people, and beautiful views. We walked every morning, and ate several times in both the little taverna in the village and the wonderful taverna at the top of the hill. The location of Maroulas is also perfect for the exploration of Crete, and in the week that we were there we visited Rethymnon twice, Chania, Iraklion, the ruins at Knossos, the wineries near Knossos, the Arkady Monastery, the south coast of the island, and several pristine, uncrowded beaches. We could easily stayed two weeks or longer, and not grown bored.

We will talk about the Villa for years, and can earnestly recommend it to others interested in visiting Crete.

I would like to firstly thank Greek Luxury Villas for being very attentive to our needs and we found them very helpful. The owners of the villa were also very graceous in offering guidance for the area. Although the pictures of Istron Villa make the villa and location look attractive, they do not do either justice...both are fantastic! The villa is very spacious with everything you might need with the best location on this beautiful bay. The beach below the property is nice and quiet and very picturesque and 1 km away is Golden Beach which is lively with fine golden sand. Very nice restaurants and local markets with more options available at Agios Nikolaos close by. A great location for touring Eastern Crete!

We had a wonderful time in Alonissos the place is ideal for a tranquil and relaxed holidays. The villa was very well maintained and clean. With a rental car, which you can easily get at arrival in the port, the access is manageable, a bit of a bumpy road for the last part but no problem at all and the positive is that it keeps the nice beach quiet! Ionana (villa owner) and Carsten (GreekLuxuryVillas.com) gave perfect service so surely a very good overall experience!

Zakynthos, 2010

We had a great time at the Luxury Villa on Zakynthos. The villa had four big double bedrooms, and was beautifully appointed, with wonderful grounds and a great pool. Modern conveniences like air-conditioning in most rooms and wireless internet were also a nice touch. But our favourite thing was the view of the Ionian Sea and islands from the terrace on the second floor (where we ate most of our meals). It was breathtaking.

The level of service we received was also first class. Booking the villa was simple (through Carsten at the Greekluxuryvillas.com website – a great rate if you wire the money instead of paying by credit card!!!!) Irini, the maid, prepared breakfast each day, did all our laundry and tidied the house. Dmitri met us at the airport and guided us to the villa. Over the next week, he responded to every call we had – helping with the rental car; organizing a cruise; getting us a voltage converter. Even the pool was cleaned and checked every day!!

We couldn't have had a better or more luxurious vacation. Highly recommended.

Schon in Griechenland haben wir uns vorgenommen, uns für den schönen Urlaub zu bedanken.

Das Haus hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt, der wunderbare Pool übertroffen. Die abgeschiedene Lage war für uns wunderbar, größere Ortschaften sind in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen, nur das Zirpen der Zikaden hätten wir manchmal etwas dämpfen wollen!

Für das " Überlebenspaket" am Ankunftstag herzlichen Dank, wir haben noch um 2 Uhr früh (fast) alles verkostet.

Der Zimmerservice durch Maria hat wunderbar funktioniert, sie war immer freundlich und nett.

Sehr hilfreich war auch die Mappe mit den verschiedenen Informationen!

Insgesamt haben wir einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub in einem wunderschönen Haus verbracht und können die Villa Litsarda für Menschen die die Ruhe lieben nur empfehlen!

"We were very happy at the Villa Mansion in Hydra. The location was excellent, only a minute or two from the harbour but very quiet. The little patio garden was a lovely place for breakfast, the air conditioned bedrooms spacious, the kitchen was basic but we generally ate out so that didn’t matter. Although there was only one (large) bathroom, there were two other (alfresco) showers and two separate loos. The loggia has fantastic views over some of the town. There was also a sitting room, so no shortage of places to relax. We will definitely return to Hydra and to the villa – our teenagers loved it as much as we adults did."

Es hat uns extrem gut in der Villa Penelope gefallen. Der Standort der Villa ist genial gelegen (schön nahe zu den Tavernen und doch kein „rambazamba“ in der Nacht).

Die Einrichtung des Hauses war perfekt mit allem was das Herz begehrt, die Betreuung von Beate vor Ort hat hervorragend geklappt und war sehr zuvorkommend.

Bei unserer Ankunft am Sonntag haben wir einen vollen Kühlschrank mit Milch, Orangensaft, Toast, Käse, Schinken, Oliven, Früchte und eine Flasche Wein vorgefunden. So etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt!

Fazit: Sehr gut gelegener Standort der Villa, schön und praktisch eingerichtet, sauber gehalten mit Gärtner, Poolreinigung und Hausreinigung 1x die Woche.
Wir können diese Villa wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

A Greek Jewel….

We have just returned from a wonderful week in Greece organised by Carsten and his company Greek Luxury Villas. This was perhaps our tenth visit to Greece however the 1st in what was definitely our most memorable holiday.

We booked Villa Octavius directly with Carsten and had the most professional feed back and answers to all our questions. Carsten took care of our car hire waiting for us at the airport, Villa in Lefkas and in Mykonos. We could not ask for a better start… as we did not need to organise anything apart from our plane tickets.

The accommodation; owned and run by Steve, Villa Octavius is a high class, well thought out luxury villa placed in the most wonderful position on the Island of Lefkas.

The property has been build on the crest of a hill with an incredible 360 degree view of the mountains at the back of the villa and the sea in front with various islands beyond the port of Nidri.
The property is immaculately clean, the pool and open air Jacuzzi was serviced on a daily basis and the equipment all new and high quality. Wonderful linen, towels and very comfortable beds.

Steve has placed a massive table for dinning out doors and large comfortable chairs overlooking the olive groves and out into the open sea where we enjoyed a glass of local wine every night with the garden lit up by candles.

If all got too warm during the day – well he has built a hammock tower where the breeze is constant and furnished with hammocks made to relax and fall asleep in! A must to try.
Steve is always around although you do not see him…. He is happy to provide all the local information of where to eat, go and which beaches to visit. Eating out is very cheap comparing to other places in Europe and all places suggested were authentic and great.

If you are into marine biology or astronomy – well here again Steve will not disappoint you as he is an expert in both and we enjoyed a night out on one of his boat tours star spotting and listening to his famous stories and the day after – a whole morning out in small boats learning about the life of octopus.

We travel extensively throughout the world and if you want to visit Greece, this beautiful property cannot be beaten for value and quality. Everything you have read and will read about Steve and Villa Octavius and the organisation of Carsten from Greek Luxury Villas is absolutely and positively true. You will have a wonderful time - I am boring my friends telling them I cannot believe you can still find places like this for the money!! We will be going back for more….

If there is one negative point about the villa and organisation, it was hard to see more of the beautiful island as we did not want to loose out during the day by leaving the property and all its wonderful comforts…. I look forward contacting Carsten in the near future for more of his jewel properties in Greece.

Ihre anfänglichen Bedenken, viel Urlaubsgeld an eine unbekannte "Internetfirma" - dazu noch im Ausland - im Voraus (und ohne Besichtigung!) zu überweisen, wurden nicht nur vollumfänglich zerstreut, sondern Herr Schmidt, wie auch sein sehr sympathischer und hilfreicher "Mann vor Ort", waren in jeder Beziehung jeden Euro wert!

Herrn Schmidt durften wir als absolut zuverlässig und integer kennenlernen. Wirklich: Ein Mann, ein Wort.

Zudem viele Details, die weit über eine normale Vermietertätigkeit hinausgehen: z.B. kostenloser Gang zur Bank und Reservation der Fährtickets - Hinweise, welche Inselspezialitäten als Mitbringsel im Heimatland sehr geschätzt werden - sehr kulantes und grosszügiges Handling bezüglich der hinterlegten Kaution, etc., etc..

Kurzum, eine wirklich in jeder Beziehung seriöse und empfehlenswerte Firma, der wir weiterhin viel Glück und derart zufriedene Kunden wünschen, wie wir es waren.

Dear Mr Schmidt
Overall, we were very satisfied with the house and the way it has been restored. My wife and her sister have relatives in the hora who visited and admired the restoration work. The quality of the cleaning work and the cooking was excellent. Two points which could be improved - the provision of a full length mirror and the provision of a seat for the older visitors in one of the shower rooms. We would be happy to recommend the villa to other visitors to Skyros.
